Abs are made in the kitchen!
Ooooh yes! I’ve been training, training and training harder. And it’s all going pretty well actually. Even running through the storm these past few days went well. The only thing I’m struggling with is finding the right balance between training, relaxing and eating. I’ve notice that because I’m training so much, I haven’t had enough time to make good, healthy food for myself. Oops! It’s not like me because I know how important it is to relax and get the right amount of powerfood in your system when you’re training. That balance is so important! But just like everyone else, it’s a challenge for me too, sometimes.
If I’ve gone out on the weekend, for example, I actually feel quite rested. But still, I’ll be too tired to go to the gym or for a run. And if I’ve been really focused on exercise for a few weeks, like I am now, my body craves rest and I have to make sure I eat properly. Yeah, it’s time to take care of my body again with some healthy food.
And as we all know, abs are made in the kitchen. If you don’t eat properly, you can work out as much as you want, but you won’t get that six-pack. With the right foods, you can also give your energy levels a boost, which will no doubt help you finish that 10k more easily.
This drink, for example, can give you a great boost before you go for a run. The cayenne pepper and banana provide you with lots of energy and the hemp powder provide protein, which slows the absorption of the sugars that the smoothie contains so that the energy it provides lasts for longer. The beets help you run faster as they lower blood pressure and even decrease the amount of oxygen you require for exertion a little bit, which, in turn, increases your endurance. So, I say: hey ho, let’s go! Good luck ladies!
