Mmmmm… I love almond mylk! Here is my recipe for delicious homemade almond milk. To make my favorite ‘nightcap’ 😉 all you need to do is heat the milk, add a pinch of cinnamon, stir and pour in a mug or glass. It’s deliciously filling and warm, perfect for just before you go to sleep.

8 - 12 hours
cheesecloth or a very fine mesh sieve
250 g raw, sweet almonds
1 liter (filtered) water
1/2 tsp vanilla powder
a pinch of sea salt
a tbsp maple syrup or honey (optional)
Soak the almonds in a cup of water for 8-12 hours. Drain the almonds and combine them with 1 liter of water, sea salt and the agave syrup or honey (if you're using it) in the blender and process for 1 to 2 minutes. Grab your bowl and put the cheesecloth or the sieve over top of it. Pour the milk through the cloth or sieve. If you use cheesecloth, really squeeze it to push as much liquid as possible through, into the bowl. There you go! Delicious and fresh almond milk! You can store your homemade milk in the fridge for up to five days.
