The last few weeks have been pretty intense! My website www.renskroes.com is up and running, I started a course to become a ‘hormone trainer’ and my list of clients keeps growing! My days are completely filled with classes, meetings, consultations and events. You’d think this would drain all of my energy, but it just makes me more hyperactive!
After years of working and studying, I finally feel like I’m in the place I’m supposed to be. Everything is turning out the way that I’d hoped and it feels just right. I’ve landed my dream job!
Coincidentally – as if it were meant to be during this busy time – Willa Stoutenbeek (owner of W green) called me and asked if I wanted to go to a lovely and relaxing place in Mallorca for a yoga retreat. Oh my! Yoga workshops, massages, meditation, long walks and, last but not least, cooking with pure products, giving workshops and enjoying healthy foods!
So, this totally happy/hyper girl is going to enjoy a week of rest. In my hormone factor classes, I’ve learned that it’s really good for your adrenals to ‘chill out’ every once in awhile. This relaxing business trip has arrived at just the right time for me.
I’m leaving for Mallorca in the morning, but I’ve already started the relaxation at home with this comforting drink. Do you want to chill out with me?
To make 500 ml of pure rest and relaxation, you’ll need:
- a teaspoon of each of fennel seeds, aniseed, lavender and liquorice (all available at your local organic or natural food store)
- a teabag of chamomile tea
Put the herbs, the teabag and 500 ml of boiling water in a teapot. Let it steep for five minutes and using a small strainer, pour the tea into a nice, big mug. Take a deep breath before you take a sip, to really smell and take in those delicious herbs. It will feel like a little ‘me, myself and I’ moment. The combination of herbs and chamomile tea will make you feel Zen in no time!
Stay tuned: next week I’ll share some tips for staying Zen from Mallorca.
