Hemp seeds (amazing for your muscles, bones, teeth and for detoxifying your body) can be transformed into a delicious and creamy milk! It’s super easy! (And no, it doesn’t get you high). And If you’ve been wondering how to make homemade vegan hemp milk, here’s how. You might also want to try making walnut mylk or almond mylk, if you haven’t already. Enjoy!
1 liter cold (filtered) water
250 g organic shelled hemp seeds
3 dates, pitted or 1-2 teaspoons honey (or other sweetener of choice)
1 tsp vanilla powder, unsweetened
large pinch sea salt
Put the hemp seeds in a blender. Add the water, dates and vanilla. Blend for a couple of minutes until the milk is smooth and creamy. Et voilá!
Pour the hemp milk in a bottle for storage. You can use it for whatever you would normally use milk for! It keeps for two days in the fridge, but if you make more than you can use in that time, you can also store it in the freezer for longer.
