I love Barcelona! Thanks to you guys! What would the world be like without social media?! I got off the plane ready to be inspired by the best restaurants, best little tapas bars and healthy juice bars and I realized – I had no idea where to start. I asked around on Facebook and Instagram and in no time, you guys supplied me with no fewer than 35 amazing Barcelona tips! I looked everything up went on an adventure with my trusty camera and my sweet boyfriend. Thank you, dear followers! I looooved it.
So you’re planning a weekend in Barça? Here are my favorite spots:
A hip little restaurant, inspired by the vegetarian, Nepalese culture. They serve the most delicious juices, smoothies, vegetarian dishes and desserts. You should definitely also try one of the many veggie burgers you’ll find on the menu. They’re so yummy!

Smudy Juice Bar
For smoothies, juices with superfoods and wheatgrass shots. It’s a very tiny place, so make sure you you don’t walk right past it. It would be a real shame to miss this one!
Address | Rambla Catalunya 124, Barcelona

RESTAURANTS & SHOPS
This affordable vegetarian restaurant has a really cute interior and the friendly staff told me it used to be an old chocolate factory. It’s definitely worth dining here!
Address | Carrer dels Flassaders 30, Barcelona
Website | La Bascula
Woki Organic Market
Half shop, half restaurant. All the foods here are organic and I saw a lot of Dutch products here, which was pretty hilarious. There’s a lot to choose from and it’s all delicious… So I went back a few times. Delicious, healthy food – guaranteed!
Address | Ronda Universitat 20, Barcelona

Vegans and health freaks – pay attention! Biocenter is the place to be if you feel like a salad or a healthy snack. It’s hard to find good salads in this town, so I was really happy when I found this hotspot. You can choose salads with beets, spinach, sprouts, egg and apple, among other things. And, what was really surprising, even the tapas here are very healthy! I love this place!
Address | Pintor Fortuny 25, Barcelona
Website | Biocenter
A cute little store, filled with veggies, fruit and other local products. They display the origin information for every product in the store down to which farm they’re from. You do need to know a little Spanish though! ; )
Address | Pl Sant Agusti Vell 15, Barcelona
Website | La Hamaca
Psaging – Health Store
If you feel like you’re getting sick during your trip or you just need an extra little boost, then this is the health store for you! They sell natural skin care products, supplements and foods and their products are amazing for your body and mind. You can find three of these stores in Barcelona, this one was the closest to me.
Address | Girona 101, Barcelona

La Boqueria Market
I’ve seen three market places: Sant Antoni, La Barceloneta en La Boqueria. The last one was my fave because they only sell food and there was one stall called Organic Barcelona. They sell the most amazing, organic dishes to go and they’re delicious! Slight downside: because it’s an indoor market, you can’t enjoy the sunshine. ; )
Address | Rambla 9, Barcelona
Website | La Boqueria Market
It did strike me that the locals in Barcelona are not as into healthy foods as we are in the Netherlands. We’re very lucky to have organic food stores and juice bars on every corner in Amsterdam. I don’t know what that’s like in your hometown… But still, Barcelona has amazing fresh fish, a totally Zen atmosphere and most definitely a better climate than cold and rainy Amsterdam. So Barcelona, I’ll see you next time!
