How do I stay in balance?
I like to eat. Everyone knows that! And, yes, I do like to eat healthy because it’s what makes me happiest. I’ve been aware of my eating habits since I was young. My body doesn’t digest things quickly. I have always had the feeling that I don’t need to eat much to keep my motor running (I think this might, in part, be due to the fact that I tend to eat very nutritious food (fuel)). And because food is such a big part of my life (I love my job!), I tend to nibble quite a lot which isn’t bad, it’s just that I need to make sure I stay active to stay in shape.
No big deal! It keeps me aware and conscious of what I eat. But what I discovered in the time I had my own practice (2014-2016), is that everyone is unique, both mentally, as well as physically. This is precisely why there isn’t one single diet that works for everyone. Listen to your body. What does it need? What does your body respond best to? Don’t be too hard on yourself, but create a lifestyle that works for you, one that has the most positive effect on your body and soul.
