Now that I’ve delved even further into ‘the law of attraction’ and astrology, I’m even more aware that you are happiest when you are true to your Inner Self. It allows you to live from pure awareness and, thus, accept yourself fully the way you are. From a young age, I was engaged in self-discovery and found that I routinely ignored my intuition and did things I thought I was ‘supposed’ to do (because of my ego). A part of me always wanted to win and prove myself… But I stopped this. I accepted that being ‘first’ doesn’t make me happy and that baking a cake for my dearest friends and family, for example, does. I like structure. I am family oriented and am energized by creating a book or starting up a new company, but at my own pace. Singing, dancing and writing my own songs stimulates my creativity. Sometimes I still feel the pull of doing something for the wrong reasons, but, in the end, I don’t feel support and realize that it isn’t making me happy and so it stagnates. Thankfully, this happens less and less often these days.
In this picture, on the left, is a completely different person. Freedom is her middle name and she follows her heart, 100% of the time. She is sharp and likes to be understood. She accepts the way she is and works on her flaws, just like I do and the rest of our family does. And, this is why, I think, people always ask us how we can be so close. We accept who we are (which allows us to experience more positive than negative emotions) and truly want to learn from each other. I believe that the more you surround yourself with people that are open to this, the richer and more loving your life’s path will be. So, guys, if you are working toward a happy and healthy lifestyle, don’t compare yourself to others. List to your own heart’s desires and seek them out.
Much love and light, Rens
