I think having a positive spirit leads to a positive life. This is why I try to create ‘good vibes’ for myself every day. I do this by living mindfully, choosing my thoughts carefully and embracing vulnerability. I also take a bit of time each month (not just once a year), on the day of the new moon, to write my good intentions down on a blank sheet of paper. It helps me to keep my focus when I’m busy and to stay in the right mindset. Even if things don’t go as planned, at least I know that I tried and had the right motivation.
On the day of the new moon (or the first day of the month if you think the ‘new moon’ idea is too flaky for you, whatever you prefer), take some time to write down some thoughts and wishes for the coming month. Whatever comes to mind. Ask yourself the following questions:
1) What do I want to let go of this month?
2) What do I want to receive this month?
Write down your intentions. They might be very concrete. Share them with the people around you if you could use a bit of peer pressure.
After two weeks, read through your intentions. Reflect. Adjust your course if your focus has drifted away from your intentions.
I like to share mine on social media from time to time. If you want to share yours, be sure to use the hashtag #renskroes so I can see them too!
