Vegan Parmesan Cheese
This ‘cheese’ really does taste like Parmesan cheese, but it’s completely dairy free. It’s a great alternative if you, like me, are trying to eat as plant-based as possible or are lactose intolerant. It’s tasty in salads, as a topping for soup, pizza, pasta or as a spread on a cracker or slice of bread. The nutritional yeast flakes make it taste super cheesy and they’re even good for you, too! Spread it out!
about a month in the fridge
Food Processor or blender
3 tbsp nutritional yeast flakes
100 g/3.5 oz. raw cashews
½ tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
Combine all the ingredients in a food processor or blender and pulverize for about 30 seconds until a fine, dry, crumbly mixture forms. Keep it in the fridge in an airtight container or jar so it stays fresh.
