Wake Up Tea
Good morning Powerfoodies! It’s a brand new day and what better way is there to start it off than with a delicious cup of Wake Up Tea, full of ingredients to help you get things cracking. I so love making my own tea! You know for certain that it’s healthy and you can adjust the taste exactly to your liking. This Wake Up Tea is my favorite. It’s purifying and ready in no time at all. Easy and delicious! Tip: Drink the tea before breakfast for optimal results.
tea egg/tea bag (unbleached)
250 ml (1 cup) warm water
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
1 scant tsp fennel seeds
1 scant tsp cumin seeds
1 heaping tsp grated fresh ginger
Fill your tea egg or tea bag with the fennel seeds, cumin seeds, and ginger. Add one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to a mug and place the tea egg/tea bag in the mug. Pour the warm, boiled water over the tea egg/tea bag and leave it to steep for five minutes. Then, enjoy!
